The Dominican capital, Santo Domingo, was originally named Nueva Isabela in honor of Queen Isabella of Spain and was the first location of a Spanish colony in the so-called New World. It was also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990.

During the visit, you will explore the city’s museums, a blend of its historic and cultural center with the charm and magic of its streets, as well as some colonial-era buildings, the oldest American cathedral, the Alcázar de Colón, among others. You will also visit the national park known as the Three Eyes (cenotes of crystal-clear waters). A protected area since 1972 with unparalleled natural beauty, located in the heart of the city.
